*All practices take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays after school, from 3:15 - 5pm.
*An Activity Bus is available for athletes at 5:10pm.
*Jamborees take place on Saturdays; players should plan their schedules accordingly: typically starting @ 9am and ending around 2pm, plus travel time.

NOTE: There is no specific time frame for each match. Games will be played with points, not with time.
Preliminary round matches will be played as 1 game to 15 points, win by 2, capped at 18 points.
Elimination Bracket matches will be played as 1 game to 21 points, win by 2, capped at 25.
Semi-finals and Finals will be best 2 out of 3; the first 2 games are same as above, and the 3rd and deciding game (if necessary) is played to 15 points, win by 2, capped at 18 points.

There will be food available for purchase at the CDS cafeteria.

1) BY BUS - Bus leaves SIS @ 7:15am
2) TRAVEL TO CDS WITH PARENT/GUARDIAN - arrive by 8:10am to meet the bus as it arrives
AFTER THE JAMBOREE:
The event is estimated to end around 4 - 4:30pm.
Because we don't know how long each game to 21 points will take, everyone needs to be patient with the time frame.
There will be a brief recognition ceremony after the final games end.
Assuming the tournament ends at 4:30pm, the bus is expected to return to SIS around 5:30 - 6pm (depends on traffic).
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PLAYING BADMINTON THIS SEASON, READ BELOW FOR INFO ABOUT THE MS BADMINTON PROGRAM:
Badminton practices will be held off-campus, at Bokjeong Elementary School. Students will need to leave class and meet at the front gate immediately after they are dismissed from 4th period classes. They will walk 5 minutes, chaperoned by their coaches, to Bokjeong E.S.
Players must be available to attend all events, so please carefully examine the season schedule and arrange your personal schedule so that you can go to all practices and jamborees.
It's important that student-athletes wishing to participate in MS Sports take the commitment to their team, players AND coaches seriously.
Missing practice because of detention is not acceptable and will be dealt with individually. If a student wants to be a part of the MS Sports Program, he/she must behave in a socially acceptable manner ("TIGERS" values) while at school.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Players may NOT wear eyeglasses while playing:
"Safety regulations imposed by the MS Sports governing body, KAIAC, state that EYEGLASSES ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING THE FOLLOWING MS SPORTS":
Soccer, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball
Alternatives = athletic goggles or contact lenses.
