This policy explains how SISAO, an audiobook player and transcription app provided by Karina Palladino (CDO Soft), handles information on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
No ads or tracking
SISAO has no advertisements, advertising SDKs, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites, sell your personal information, or collect your audiobook library on our servers. You do not need an account to use SISAO.
On-device transcription
SISAO transcribes audio locally using Apple's on-device speech technology. Your audio and transcripts are not uploaded to us, Apple, or a cloud transcription service for transcription. Language models may need to be downloaded from Apple before transcription can run.
Information stored on your device
SISAO stores imported audio, transcripts, book information, bookmarks, listening progress, reading activity, and preferences locally to provide its features. These are not automatically sent to the developer. Files you select from a cloud storage provider and any device backups are also subject to that provider's settings and privacy policy.
Transfers and sharing you choose
If you enable browser import or local library sync, SISAO uses your local network to receive files or exchange library information with connected devices. Sync can transfer audio, transcripts, bookmarks, playback progress, and book information. Device names and connection information are used to discover and connect devices. These transfers do not pass through our servers. Use these features only on networks and with devices you trust; local HTTP transfers are not end-to-end encrypted. If you copy, export, or share content, you choose where it goes, and the receiving app or service handles it under its own policies.
LibriVox and other external services
Browsing or downloading public-domain audiobooks uses Internet Archive services for the LibriVox catalog, artwork, and audio. These requests send the search terms or requested book information and ordinary network information, such as your IP address, to those services. They do not upload your private audiobook library or transcripts. External services and websites have their own privacy practices. Your choices and deletion
You can delete imported books from the library and manage downloaded catalog data using Clear LibriVox Cache. You can stop local transfer features and control local-network access through your device settings. Deleting a local copy does not remove copies you exported, synced to another device, or stored in a backup; manage those copies separately.
Support
If you email cdo.soft@gmail.com, we receive your email address and anything you include, and use that information to respond to your request. Our email provider processes that correspondence. Please do not send private audio files or transcripts unless necessary for a support request. You can contact us with privacy questions or requests concerning information you have sent us.
Children's privacy
SISAO does not collect personal information from children through the app or include advertising or tracking. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, please contact us.
Website and policy updates
This support and privacy website is hosted by Google Sites, which processes visits under Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. We may update this policy when the app or its privacy practices change. The latest version and its update date will be posted on this page.
