Sisa Anrango, Kichwa teacher
My name is Sisa Anrango I am a Kichwa woman, mother, Andean farmer and teacher of the Kichwa language
I was born in Otavalo in the community of Puñaru where I have actively participated in the activities of the council related to the strengthening of the Kichwa language.
I studied Andean agriculture at the "Jatun Yachay Wasi" higher education institute in the city of Riobamba until 2018.
In 2018 I traveled to Spain to the community of the Basque Country where I participated in the postgraduate expert course: Linguistic revitalization strategies endorsed by the University of Mondragón.
My personal and professional goals promote the recovery and revitalization of the Kichwa mother tongue.
