No Tracking & No Personal Data
Sir Radio is built with privacy as a priority. The app does not track your location, collect your personal information, or sell your data. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Audio Visualization (Microphone Permission)
Sir Radio requests the RECORD_AUDIO permission for the sole purpose of providing real-time audio visualization (the moving bars on the playback screen).
Ephemeral Processing: Audio data is processed instantly in your device's memory for visualization only.
No Recording: We never record, save, or store your audio.
No Transmission: Your audio data never leaves your device.
In-App Purchases
Optional features (like the Favorites Randomizer) are available via one-time purchases.
Secure Billing: All transactions are handled exclusively by Google Play Billing.
Your Information: Sir Radio never has access to your credit card numbers or financial details. We only receive a confirmation from Google to unlock your purchased features.
Third-Party Services
Radio-Browser.info: This community API is used for searching stations and fetching metadata. To help maintain global station popularity charts, the app sends a generic signal to this service when a station is played. No personal data is included in this signal.
Google: Used to find station favicons if they are missing from the primary database.
Streaming Servers: When you play a station, you connect directly to that station's server. Your IP address may be visible to the broadcaster, subject to their own individual privacy policies.
Data Retention
Since we do not collect any personal data, we do not store or retain any data about you on our servers.
