1. No Account & Local File Processing
No Registration: We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number.
Local Processing: The App is designed as a local tool. All file operations—including viewing, editing, format conversion, and scanning—are performed locally on your device. We do not upload your documents to any cloud server. Your private files remain exclusively in your control.
2. Information We Automatically Collect To improve app stability and support our free services via advertising, we work with trusted third-party partners who may collect:
Device Information: Device model, OS version, time zone, language, and network connection type.
Identifiers: Advertising ID (GAID/IDFA) and Push Notification Tokens (FCM Token).
Usage Data: Crash logs, performance diagnostics, and feature usage statistics.
3. Permissions & Background Services To provide specific features (File Management, Scanning, and Smart Reminders), we request the following permissions. You can manage these in your device settings.
Manage External Storage (All Files Access):
Purpose: Core functionality. Required to scan, list, read, edit, rename, and delete document files (PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) on your device.
Read Media Audio (Android 13+):
Purpose: Required for the built-in Audio Player feature to identify and play audio files (MP3, WAV) stored on your device.
Foreground Service (Media Playback):
Purpose: Required to allow the integrated player to continue playing audio in the background or when the screen is locked, ensuring an uninterrupted listening experience.
Foreground Service (Data Sync / Special Use):
Purpose: Used for the File Monitor Service to detect file system changes in real-time (e.g., new downloaded documents) and update the file list immediately.
Camera:
Purpose: Required for the "Scan to PDF" feature. Images are processed locally and not uploaded.
Post Notifications:
Purpose: To send you player controls, file status alerts, and utility reminders.
4. Third-Party Services (Advertising) We use third-party SDKs to display advertisements. These partners may access your Advertising ID to show personalized ads. Please review their privacy policies:

5. Push Notifications We use local broadcasts and remote push notifications to provide utility alerts (e.g., storage usage, new file detection) and promotional content. You can opt-out via Settings > Apps > Simple PDF Reader > Notifications.
6. Data Security We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Since files are stored locally, their security also relies on your device's security protections.
7. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Policy in the App.

By downloading or using Simple PDF Reader - Viewer & Lite, you agree to these Terms.
1. License Simple PDF Team grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. User Responsibility (Local Data) You acknowledge that the App processes data locally. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, user error (e.g., accidental deletion), or App malfunction. Please back up important documents regularly.
3. Notification & Feature Disclaimer The App provides file management and media playback tools. It may send notifications regarding your device status (e.g., "Storage usage alerts" or "File hazards"). Disclaimer: These notifications are generated based on general device parameters or timed logic to assist with file organization. They are for informational and utility purposes only and do not indicate a critical hardware failure unless explicitly stated by the Android system.
4. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to use the App to:
Distribute malware or viruses.
Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
Attempt to reverse engineer the App's source code.
5. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simple PDF Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the App.
