Sinjini Sikdar, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Data Science and Computational Statistics. Her research focuses on developing statistical and machine learning methods for analyzing high-dimensional biomedical data. Her work spans bioinformatics, genomics, epidemiology, and computational biology, with an emphasis on uncovering complex patterns and relationships in large-scale datasets.
Dr. Sikdar collaborates with researchers in epidemiology, public health, and medicine to address challenging problems involving multi-omics data, environmental mixtures, and human health outcomes. Her research integrates advanced statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to improve the understanding of complex biological and environmental processes.
In addition to her research, Dr. Sikdar is committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in statistics, data science, and machine learning. She is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and preparing students with the analytical and computational skills needed to tackle real-world data-driven challenges.
