Lyrical intuitive and confident are a few words, best used to describe international recording artiste, producer and entrepreneur Singing Vernon.The rustic and diversely beautiful terrain of Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth, Jamaica provides the backdrop for his honeyed ,unhurried rootical style which delve deeply into the backbone of Jamaica’s music heritage .

Singing Vernon grew up in the bedrock of mento music, his father and uncle were members of Mento bands. He was surrounded by the plucking of banjo strings and the pulsating rumble of the rumba box which echoes the story telling melodic flow of the folk based music.

The talented singer and songwriter foray into music was inevitable. These formative years coupled with his love for the music of Bob Marley Luciano ,Alton Ellis and other reggae stalwarts shaped his outlook and appreciation for authentic and deep rooted sounds of music with a message. It is only natural that Singing Vernon would be a defender in the army of Jah Music using roots reggae as his vehicle to deliver the positive message of Ras Tafari, love, life and healing.

Ever since his debut on Wake Up Call morning programme with Ron Muschette on Irie Fm Radio his music been resonating well in the hearts of his fans across the world. Through his label Outa Town Records and collaborations with music producers across the continents of Africa Europe and America his catalogue has been growing immensely. His debut album My Mission and songs such as Simple life, Don’t You Worry, Babylon You Due, Reggae BandWagon and Golden Plan are some of the classic recordings powering his reach . Three continents thus far has been touched by the magic of Singing Vernon infectious performance. He has graced many stages across Jamaica .He toured the West Coast of the USA and also done several show in Europe and Guyana.

He is on track to release a new EP Simple Life and new music videos.
