Singalong is a lively and interactive music and movement class for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, with a focus on supporting speech through song.
Each class follows a similar structure, with the theme changing each week.
Nurturing and personal: we have all the fun of bigger music classes, without the overwhelm!
Always conscious of speech development, we provide an opportunity to focus on sounds: listening, identifying and repeating.
Children learn about the world around them, increase their vocabulary, follow simple instructions, and share the joy of music.
We have a song for (almost!) every occasion: the best tantrum busters ever!
The "big" class is ideal for siblings and childminders with children of different ages
The "baby" class provides opportunity for bonding, communication and sensory experiences.
We send children off to school with confidence to join in, to stand up in front of others, and most importantly, with oodles of fun memories!
From September 2024 I will be running weekly classes in two venues:
Thornborough Village Hall is a beautiful, recently refurbished space which is used by a variety local groups, as well as the infant school. It is very conveniently located if you are near Buckingham, Brackley, Towcester or Milton Keynes. (Postcode: MK18 2DF)
Wingrave Community Centre is a fantastic village hall in a wonderful setting. There is a brilliant playpark right next door! This is ideal if you are coming from Aylesbury, Tring, Stewkley or Leighton Buzzard. (Postcode: HP22 4PE)
I also run monthly classes in two further venues:
The Studio at Blackpit is at Blackpit Brewery near Silverstone. When we are on site here, we are generously given a 10% discount in the Blackpit Café, just next door. It's a really lovely venue for a morning out and perfect for people in the Brackley, Towcester, MK, Buckingham area. (Postcode: MK18 5LJ)
Lace Hill Manor Care Home in Buckingham provides a fabulous opportunity to focus on Singalong's nurturing, community focused heart. At our intergenerational classes with residents of the care home, we share instruments, props and songs with the very young and the very old. The benefits of mixing the ages are huge to both generations and I am delighted to be able to share this opportunity! The care home kindly subsidise this session, so ticket prices are hugely reduced. (Postcode: MK18 7RB)
Booking is available through Happity.
Block booking for a half term is £5 per class plus a single 50p surcharge for fees.
Pay As You Go is £6 per class plus 25p surcharge for fees.
Sibling discounts are available, and childminders are welcome to use this too.
I am a primary school teacher by training with over ten years' experience in the classroom. I am also a classically trained singer - a winning combination for a children's music class! When my third child was born in 2019, I decided the time had come to follow my long-held desire to work with even smaller children and share my love of music (and being silly!).
If you have a child who needs extra help in any way please do not hesitate to contact me to see how I can make the class accessible and fun for everyone.
"Thank you so much for the songs, the care, the interaction and your kindness..."
"B has loved every minute of your classes!"
"Hurrah hurrah, this started my week off perfectly!"
"I highly recommend this lovely group."
"We have loved this term. It's been so much fun."
"You were a lifeline when we first moved here."
"You've been a ray of sunshine for a sleep deprived mum."
"I feel happy now I've singing!" (Z aged 2!)
