In recent years, Naples has undoubtedly become a favorite destination for both Italian and international travelers who love spending their holidays in vibrant cities rich in art and culture.
The city’s wide range of tourist attractions and accommodations perfectly reflects the traditional warmth and charm of the Neapolitan people. Unlike other cities that resemble open-air museums—beautiful, yet often lacking real daily life—Naples stands out for its lively, authentic atmosphere. Its historic center, one of the largest and most beautiful in the world, is still very much alive, home to people who live and work there just as they did centuries ago.
Tourism has become a vital part of Naples’ economy, and the city’s welcoming spirit is at the heart of it. Visitors who choose Naples need to feel truly welcomed and well-informed, so they can explore and enjoy everything the city has to offer, so Welcome to Naples! We hope that when you return home, you'll take with you not just photos and souvenirs, but also a deep appreciation for this extraordinary city.
How to reach Naples
This station is the heart of the city's public transportation network, where you can catch both the M1 and M2 subway lines, as well as a wide variety of buses that will take you to every corner of Naples.
By Air
If you're arriving by plane, you're going to land in Naples' Capodichino International Airport that is approximately 7 km from the city center, and there are several ways to reach Napoli Centrale Station:
the Alibus is a direct shuttle service that connects Naples Airport with Piazza Garibaldi, the journey takes about 20-30 minutes and tickets can be purchased on the bus for around €5;
a taxi ride from the airport to Piazza Garibaldi takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic and rush hour. Taxis are available just outside the airport terminal, and the fare is usually around €25-30.
By Train
Every train you take will bring you to the main station "Napoli centrale".
