Association of American Publishers (AAP)
Three hundred companies are members of the Association of American Publishers. They span all categories of publishing and represent the major commercial, educational, and professional companies as well as independents, non-profits, university presses, and scholarly societies.
Achieve is a bipartisan, non-profit organization that helps states raise academic standards, improve assessments, and strengthen accountability to prepare all young people for post-secondary education, work, and citizenship.
Book Manufacturer’s Institute (BMI)
BMI member companies annually produce the great majority of books ordered by the U. S. book publishing industry. Today, BMI is a vital part of the industry, playing a leading role by providing an intra-industry communications link among book manufacturers, publishers, suppliers, and governmental bodies. BMI conducts a number of programs and activities relating to the interdependent needs of these groups.
Book Industry Study Group (BISG)
The Book Industry Study Group (BISG) is a national, not-for-profit U.S. book trade association with the mission of creating a more informed, empowered and efficient book industry. It is committed to the development of effective industry-wide standards, best practices, research, and events related to both physical and digital products that enhance relationships among all trading partners.
Center on Accessible Instructional Materials (CAIM)
The AIM and NIMAS Centers, supported by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), works with states, TA systems, disability advocates, national associations, technology experts, publishers, and content conversion houses to improve the timely delivery of high-quality accessible educational materials to students with disabilities.
Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO)
The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) is a nationwide, nonpartisan, and nonprofit membership organization. Our nation’s chief state school officers are committed to creating a public education system that prepares every child for lifelong learning, work, and citizenship. CCSSO’s promise is to lead chiefs and their organizations in this effort by focusing on those state-driven leverage points they are uniquely positioned to address and increasing their capacity to produce students ready to succeed as productive members of society.
EdReports.org is an independent nonprofit that publishes free reviews of instructional materials, using an educator-designed tool that measures alignment, usability, and other quality criteria. The reports help districts and educators make informed purchasing and instructional decisions that support improved student outcomes.
Education Market Research conducts surveys that describe the market size and growth trends in K–12 education, using a school market information gathering network comprised of tens of thousands of educators at all grade levels. Forecasts of future growth come from analysis of historical patterns and projections of student enrollments and per-pupil expenditures.
The Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME)
ISKME, an independent non-profit research institute established in 2002, is a pioneer in knowledge sharing and educational innovation. Dedicated to the study, spread, and strategic use of knowledge management in education, ISKME helps schools, colleges, universities, and the organizations that support them expand their capacity to collect and share information, apply it to well-defined problems, and create open knowledge-driven environments focused on learning and success. In assisting the K–20 education sector, ISKME also helps philanthropic organizations and government agencies examine and improve their own and their grantees’ processes for continuous improvement, evaluation, and learning.

State Educational Technology Directors Association (SEDTA)
SETDA is the principal association serving, supporting, and representing U.S. state and territorial educational technology leadership. SETDA works in partnership with like-minded individuals and organizations as a forum for inter-state collaboration, cooperation, and best practices.
