Privacy Policy for SimplySudoku
Effective Date: 26 June 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to SimplySudoku. This Privacy Policy explains how SquareStudios collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SimplySudoku mobile application.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
SimplySudoku is built to provide a modern puzzle experience featuring a dynamic puzzle generator, player progression tracking, and competitive social features. To enable these features, we collect and utilize the following information through Google services:
Authentication & Profile Data:
We use Firebase Authentication to facilitate seamless onboarding through Google Sign-In. During this process, we collect your basic profile information, including your Google Profile Picture and username, to personalize your in-app experience. We also support traditional Email/Password authentication strictly in testing or administrative capacities.
Gameplay Statistics:
The app tracks your individual performance metrics, including total games played, your win rate, your fastest completion times across Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty tiers, and your current win streaks. This progression data is pushed to and stored in our Cloud Firestore database.
Global Leaderboards & Social Features:
To power the competitive ranking system, your highest scores, username, and Google Profile Picture are queried from Cloud Firestore to display top players globally and compare scores among friends.
3. Advertising and Monetization
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the application.
Advertising ID:
Because SimplySudoku is monetized through AdMob, the app utilizes your device's Advertising ID to serve ads. Google AdMob collects and processes certain user data to provide these advertising services.
4. Third-Party Services
Our application relies on Google Cloud and Firebase backend infrastructure to operate. The primary third-party services integrated into SimplySudoku include:
Google Play Services
Google AdMob
Firebase Authentication
Cloud Firestore
5. Data Safety and Security
Your data is stored using Google's Cloud Firestore NoSQL database. Because we utilize modern, managed tools like Firebase, the heavy lifting of server security and database maintenance is handled directly by Google's infrastructure.
6. Contact Us
If you have any questions or suggestions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact us at: SquareStudios89@gmail.com
7. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
SimplySudoku offers an optional auto-renewing subscription to remove advertisements. All transactions, including the collection and processing of your payment details, are handled securely by the Google Play Billing service. SquareStudios does not directly collect, process, or store your credit card or financial information on our servers.
8. Account and Data Deletion SimplySudoku allows users to save their progression and leaderboard rankings using Google Sign-In and cloud databases. If you wish to delete your account and completely remove your data, you may request this at any time without needing to open the application.
Deleting your account will permanently erase your user profile, your linked Google Sign-In data, and all personal gameplay history stored on our servers, including your total games played, win rates, fastest completion times, and win streaks.
How to request deletion: Please send an email to Squarestudios89@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include the email address associated with your SimplySudoku account in the body of the email. We will process your request and securely delete all of your associated data within 30 days.
