Headshot FAQ's
You have the option to shoot your headshots outside or in-studio, depending on the style or look of headshot you would like. Headshots taken outside tend to have a blurred, yet slightly busier background. I can shoot my outside headshots in sub-urban or rural areas, and typically will shoot in the late afternoon or early evening hours.
In-studio headshots are shot with multiple backdrop colors. Because these are shot inside, they can be shot at any available hour.
If you are unsure of which setting you would prefer, please don't hesitate to reach out and I will be more than happy to assist!
A "look" is most wardrobe changes. Small changes including glasses on & off or the addition of a single overcoat is not considered a separate "look". Larger changes in clothing, change of tops, hairstyle, and/or accoutrements to change character/personality type is considered a "look".
Typically, shoots are between 45 min and 1.5 hours. Time typically depends on number of looks and/or types of looks you are wanting.
Ideally you will personally have an idea of a look you are hoping to achieve. Bring options that are consistent with the character/personality type you are/would like to present. In general, I always recommend fitted tops with solid colors that contrast with your skin tone.
My recommendation is to avoid colors that blend in with your skin tone and/or wash you out, as to keep the focus on your face! Tops with logos, busy prints, plain white tops (with no over shirt), baggy tops, or puffy sleeves are also not recommended.
I am always happy to have a pre-consultation as well via email or phone call!
You will receive an email with a private google drive/google photos link within a week of the shoot. You can then send me your favorite images by emailing/messaging me the photo numbers you wish to be edited. I am happy to provide my opinion as well, if you so desire!
You should receive your final high-resolution, retouched images typically within 7 days of your final selection. I will create another gallery or folder titled "Final Edits", where you can download them.
Event Shoot FAQ's
It is typical that I stay for a majority, if not the entirety of the event.
Depending on how long said event is, I try my best to get the essence of the event as a whole. For event photography/videography, I find it best to tell a story through the lens, which is usually best done with photo/video from beginning to end. There are times where it is more beneficial for me to only be there for a subset amount of time, in which I try to get this same essence.
For more preferences and needs, I am more than happy to discuss upon booking!
For photos, I try to provide anywhere between 75-200 photos, depending on what is desired for each event as discussed between clients and myself.
For video, I get as much as is needed to create the video you desire at a desired length. This is usually done on a case-by-case basis and I am more than happy to discuss and plan out options!
I always allow my clients to pick a song of their choice if they so desire. I usually can provide options that I think fit for the occasion.
Song choice(s) are always needed to be finalized BEFORE the editing can begin, as much of the editing works solely off of the music/song that is used.
