This Privacy Policy describes how simple apnea (the "App") and its developer ("we", "us") handle information when you use our breath-hold training app for Android. It applies to the version of the App distributed through the Google Play Store and any other distribution channel.
simple apnea does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All training data you create in the App — personal bests, session history, table settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device only and never leaves it. The App has no internet access, no accounts, and no third-party SDKs.
No accounts. The App does not require registration, sign-in, or a profile.
No network access. The App does not request the INTERNET permission and contains no network, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or social SDKs. It cannot send or receive data from our servers or any third party.
No location, contacts, media, or device identifiers are accessed. The App does not collect device IDs, advertising IDs, or any hardware identifiers.
No in-app purchases, advertising, or subscriptions.
No personal or health data is collected or transmitted. While the App is used for breath-hold training practice, it does not request health permissions (e.g., Google Fit or Health Connect) and does not collect any health information.
The App requests a single, non-sensitive permission:
VIBRATE — used to signal audio-cue timing (end of a hold or rest phase) with a silent haptic pulse during training. No vibration patterns or device state are read, stored, or transmitted.
The App does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, or any health or fitness sensor data.
The following information is saved locally on your device using Android's standard on-device storage mechanisms (Jetpack DataStore):
Your training presets and settings (table durations, audio and vibration cue preferences, etc.)
Your personal best (PB) hold time
Your session history (timestamps and hold times) used to draw your progress and training-frequency charts
A flag indicating you have accepted the in-app safety disclaimer
This data is used only to make the App function on your device. It is yours alone and is never transmitted.
Because no data leaves your device, there is no data in transit to protect. Data at rest is stored using Android's standard app-sandbox storage, which is isolated from other apps and accessible only to the App itself. We recommend keeping your device operating system and the App updated to benefit from the latest platform security protections.
Because all data lives on your device, you can delete it at any time:
Android 6.0+: Settings → Apps → simple apnea → Storage → Clear data (or Clear storage)
Any Android version: uninstall the App from your device
We hold no copy of your data on our side, so there is nothing for you to request from us — clearing the App's data or uninstalling it removes everything.
The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. Breath-hold training involves risk and should be practiced with proper instruction; we do not direct the App at children.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised, and any material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or the App's data practices, please contact the developer at the email address listed on the App's Play Store page (or the contact email provided in the Play Console listing).
Disclaimer: This app is a training aid for recreational breath-hold practice. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Always train in a safe environment, never alone in water, and consult a physician before beginning breath-hold training.
