In mining, ore resource and reserve estimation is used to determine both the quantity and quality of an ore deposit, also called tonnage and estimated economic value. It can be performed initially to assess mineral resources, but also along the mining process to calculate the remaining ore reserves. Different parts of a deposit may contain different concentrations of minerals and structural components and thus, a geological model of the mine allows to adjust the mining strategy and choose the optimal exploration and mining method. Our geologists can for example create a 3D block model and calculate an estimation of the mineral ore volume as well as perform geostatistical analyses.
Our company is experienced in virtually the entire spectrum of mined materials, e.g. ferrous, base and precious metals; gas, lignite and coal; heavy mineral sands or bulk materials. SimplE has a pool of staff who have recognized “Competent Persons” status in a wide range of mining applications that can create geological models, provide analyses and geological interpretation of data.
SimplE has extensive experience in estimating, auditing, and reviewing Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves and reporting to recognized international reporting codes such as JORC, CIM, PERC, SAMREC and many more, according to local jurisdiction and as required by the client.
SimplE geologists and mining engineers are also proficient in the use of a wide range of industry standard geological and mining software for geological modelling and estimating both resources and reserves. For geomodelling and resource estimation, we are familiar with software like Gemcom, Whittle, SURPAX, Minex and many more like Datamine, MineSight, AutoCad, VULCAN, GoCad and PETREL.
SimplE provides the following services in the area of resource estimation and geological modelling:
