This Privacy Policy explains how the Simple Invoice app ("app," "we," "us") handles the information of people who use it ("you"). Our principle is simple: we collect as little information as possible, and your receipts are stored in your personal iCloud account—not on our servers.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is CaetanoApp, the developer of Simple Invoice.

2. Information We Process

Account Information (Sign in with Apple)

We receive an identifier provided by Apple and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. These are used solely to authenticate you within the app. You may choose to hide your email using Apple's Private Email Relay.

Content You Create

Receipts, line items, customers, business profiles, logos, and signatures are stored in your private iCloud (CloudKit) database and/or locally on your device. As the app developer, we cannot access the contents of your private iCloud database.

App Preferences and Usage

Settings such as currency, language, reminders, and your free plan usage counter are stored on your device and in your iCloud key-value storage.

Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)

Biometric authentication is handled entirely by Apple's operating system. Your biometric information never leaves your device and is never accessible to us.

Subscriptions

Purchases and subscription validation are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card information or payment method details.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

Credit card or payment information.
Your location.
Behavioral analytics through third-party SDKs (we do not use third-party analytics).
Advertising identifiers, since the app does not display ads.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
Generate, store, and sync your receipts across your devices using iCloud.
Send local payment reminder notifications (when enabled).
Manage free plan limits and Simple Invoice Pro access.
Respond to support requests you send us.

5. Storage and Synchronization (iCloud)

Your app data is synchronized through CloudKit using your personal Apple account. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Some information, including business profiles, logos, signatures, and customer records, may also be stored locally on your device.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your data.

We only share information in the following situations:

Apple, for authentication (Sign in with Apple), synchronization (iCloud/CloudKit), and subscription processing (StoreKit).
When you voluntarily share a PDF receipt via email, messaging apps, or other services, the content is sent to the destination you choose.
Government authorities when required by law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You remain in control of your data.

Within the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and Data to remove all receipts from iCloud as well as locally stored information (business profiles, logos, signatures, and customers).

Deleting your Apple account or disabling iCloud may also affect access to your synchronized data.

8. Security

We rely on Apple's security technologies, including Keychain for credentials, CloudKit's private database, and optional biometric protection for the app.

While no security system can guarantee complete protection, we take appropriate measures to safeguard your information.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / LGPD)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, as well as withdraw consent where applicable.

Because most of your content is stored in your own iCloud account, you can exercise many of these rights directly through the app. For additional requests, please contact us at simple.invoice.withyou@gmail.com.

10. Children's Privacy

Simple Invoice is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we do, we will publish the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top.
