Simple Envelope Budgeting Privacy Policy

Updated August 29, 2026, to clarify how voluntary support emails are handled.
Your envelopes, balances, transactions, and other budgeting information are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, this information also syncs through Apple’s iCloud service to your associated devices.
I do not receive or have access to your budgeting information through the app. If you choose to send information to me in a support request, I receive only the information you voluntarily include in that correspondence.
Simple Envelope Budgeting does not include advertising or third-party analytics software.
If you email SimpleEnvelopeBudgeting@gmail.com, I receive your email address, any sender name associated with your email, and the message and attachments you choose to send.
I use this information to respond to you, troubleshoot reported problems, improve the app, and address your feedback. Contacting me is optional and is not required to use the app.
Please do not send passwords, bank account numbers, payment card details, or other sensitive information. Remove or obscure personal and financial information from screenshots whenever possible.
Support emails are processed and stored through Gmail, a service provided by Google. Apple processes information used for iCloud synchronization. These services are also subject to their providers’ applicable terms and privacy policies.
I do not sell your personal information or use support correspondence for advertising or mailing lists. I will not publish your identifying information or support correspondence without your permission.
Information may be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of the app, its users, or others.
I retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, investigate related problems, improve the app, and meet applicable legal obligations.
You may request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing SimpleEnvelopeBudgeting@gmail.com. Copies retained in service-provider backups may remain until removed through the provider’s normal retention processes.
I cannot access or delete budgeting information stored on your device or in your personal iCloud account on your behalf. Deleting support correspondence does not delete information stored in the app.
I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information to me in a support request, please contact me so I can take appropriate steps to delete it.
I may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
If a change materially affects how I use information previously provided to me, I will provide additional notice and obtain consent when required by applicable law.
