Sousdey!

I am a lecturer at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and a researcher specializing in linguistic anthropology and the anthropology of religion, with a regional focus on East and Southeast Asia.

I hold an M.A. in Anthropology from Seoul National University (SNU) and an M.Div. in Practical Theology from Methodist Theological University (MTU), both in Korea. I also earned my B.Ed. in Korean Language at RUPP, where I now teach.

My research brings together linguistic anthropology, religious studies, and Southeast Asian area studies. It focuses on translingualism, identity-making, and semiotic sovereignty among the Khmer Krom community in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, based on fieldwork conducted in 2024–2025.
