I am interested in understanding how internal states such as human intention and cognition are represented in the brain, how these states can be decoded from neural signals, and how they can be modulated or regulated.
In particular, I aim to understand brain function through the measurement and interpretation of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals, while developing machine learning and signal processing methods for robust neural decoding.
As an application of this line of research, I work on non-invasive brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). My previous work includes the development of a multiclass auditory BCI based on event-related potentials, research on language rehabilitation systems using auditory BCIs for post-stroke aphasia, and studies on variability in EEG signals.
Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the NEARBY project at Inria Centre at the University of Bordeaux, where I investigate variability in EEG signals in the context of motor imagery BCIs.
