I’m honored to announce that I will be participating in the Brasília Orchestral Summit 2025, taking place from July 26 to August 2 in Brasília, Brazil! 🇧🇷
As part of this incredible experience, my orchestral composition Evanescent Frequency will receive its world premiere, performed by the Brazilian National Symphony Orchestra.

The Arts & Letters Club of Toronto has announced the winners of the very first Emerging Canadian Composers Competition. The Ezra Duo (viola and piano) performed works composed by the three finalists at a concert on December 8.
The placement of the three finalists emerged:
First Prize: Luis Ramirez
Second Prize: Simon Alami
Third Prize: Fiona Marchetto
The jury was made up of Soundstreams Artistic Director (and oboist) Lawrence Cherney, and Canadian composers David Jaeger and Alexina Louie.

Création du Quintette pour piano et cordes No. 1 du compositeur montréalais Simon Alami. Par la pianiste Natsuki Hiratsuka, les violonistes Marie-Claire Vaillancourt et Jeanne Côté, l’altiste Vincent Delorme et par le violoncelliste Benjamin Sutton. Aussi au programme, des œuvres de Maurice Ravel, Rebecca Clarke, Federico Mompou et Lili Boulanger.
