Aqualisa Digital Pumped Shower 425600/05/07/
Aqualisa Digital Pumped Shower 425600/05/07/
Step by step instructions for repairing a dripping Aqualisa digital pumped shower.
My Aqualisa shower has a habit of dripping after a few years of use. The first time this happened to me was during the warranty period so Aqualisa replaced the whole unit for me. The next time was after the warranty had expired so rather than spend a fortune on another unit I found out how to repair it. It is quite straight forward so anybody can do it, all you need is some heat resistant Silicone Grease. I wanted to make sure the grease I used was high quality and did not damage the rubber O-rings so I used Dow Corning High vacuum grease.

Content moved from my old website at www.simon-hart.net which I no longer maintain.
I am keeping this content active as it still gets lots of views. However, I no longer have this model of shower. After multiple successful repairs, it got to the point where I could no longer stop the dripping and had to replace the unit.

Remove the mixer valves
Remove the mixer valves
The problem is in the mixer valves so we need to disassemble the valves and re-grease the valve parts.
1. First things first, turn off the mains electrical power.
2. Turn off the hot and cold water. For me that involves turning the inlet valves by 90 degrees. (indicated by the top two arrows on the image above)
3. Remove the one screw securing the cover and remove the cover. (shown in the center of the image above)
4. Unplug the four connectors at the bottom of the Logic Module. (indicated by the four arrows at the bottom center of the image above)
5. Remove the one screw that secures the Logic Module and one screw securing the Electronics module and move both out of the way. (screws shown at top center and bottom right of the image above)
6. Put an old towel under the hot and cold water inlets to mop up any water that spills out. Undo the two water inlets and move away from the valve assembly. (indicated by the two arrows to the left of the image above) Be careful not to lose the two O-rings and small plastic water filters. Note which way around the filters are fitted.
7. Use paper towel to clean the water inlets and O-rings of any old grease and water.
8. Remove the two screws securing the mixer valve assembly. (Indicated by two arrows at top center and bottom right of the image above)
9. Remove the pump cover. There are no screws securing mine.
10. Remove the two screws securing the pump. (Indicated by the two arrows on the image above)
11. Lift up the pump slightly and pull the mixer valve assembly away from the pump. Be ready with an old towel or a small container to catch any water that spills out. Be careful not to lose the O-ring.
12. Use paper towel to clean the O-ring and the junction of the pump and valve assembly of any old grease and water.
Service the mixer valves

13. Take the mixer valve assembly to somewhere you can work on it. Remove the water filters noting which way around they are fitted.
14. Use paper towel to clean old grease and water from the two water inlets and the one outlet.
15. Remove the four screws from each valve assembly. Again be ready with a towel to mop up any water that spills out.
16. Use paper towel to clean the plastic valve assemblies, metal plates, rubber O-rings and spring loaded valves of any old grease and water.
17. Add a thin smearing of new silicone grease to the metal plates, rubber O-rings and spring loaded valves. Re-assemble the valves using the 8 screws removed earlier. Note the two notches on the plastic assembly that indicate which way around the valves go.

18. Return the valve assembly to your shower unit, re-grease the O-ring that goes between the pump and valve assembly, lift up the pump slightly, fit the re-greased O-ring and connect the mixer valve assembly to the pump.
19. Secure the pump with the two screws removed earlier.
20. Secure the mixer valve assembly with the two screws removed earlier.
21. Put the water filters back in the mixer valve inlets, re-grease the 2 water inlet O-rings and fit the O-rings as shown in the image above.
22. Re-attach the hot and cold water pipes.
23. Replace the Logic Module and Electronics module and secure each with the one screw removed earlier.
24. Re-connect the four connectors at the bottom of the Logic Module.
25. Replace the covers and secure with the one screw removed earlier.
26. Turn on the water by turning the inlet valves back to where they were.
27. Turn on the mains electricity and test your shower.
