Meet Shaun M. Simmons
A fourth generation Idahoan, born in Boise and proudly rooted in Nampa, Shaun M. Simmons is a husband (father and grandfather), public servant, and committed member of our community. With more than 20 years in public safety—from correctional institutions to community outreach—Shaun has built a career around protecting people, strengthening families, and solving real problems.
He’s worked with the Idaho Department of Correction, Boise Rescue Mission Ministries, TSA, and Ada County Animal Control, among others. Today, he’s pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity at the College of Western Idaho, with plans to complete his studies at Boise State University—proof that growth, learning, and leadership never stop.
Shaun isn’t a career politician. He’s a working citizen, just like you—ready to serve with common sense, conviction, and heart.
Faith, Family & Community at the Core
As a Teddy Roosevelt Progressive Republican, Shaun believes strong communities are built on:
Family values and parental rights
Youth programs that build character and opportunity
Civic engagement rooted in respect, transparency, and service
“It’s more important to help a man earn money for his family than to help a man earn money for his corporation.”
– Teddy Roosevelt
