Simeon O.A. (MIEEE, MACM, MCPN, MNIS, OCA, Citp)

Dr. Simeon O.A. received his Ph.D. in IT-Convergence Engineering with distinction at Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Gumi, South Korea, in 2023. Before this, he received his Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology (2016) with distinction from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, a Bachelor of Science (2009), and a Diploma degree (2004) in Computer Science from Imo State University, Owerri, and the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, respectively. Simeon is a Chartered Information Technology Professional (Citp) with many years of IT-related industrial and academic experience. He is a member of IEEE, the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), and the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). He has received several awards, such as the Best PhD Thesis Award, Best Paper Award, Research Excellence Award, etc. Simeon has served as a guest editor and reviewer for different reputable peer-reviewed journals and has published several articles and conference papers. He works as a postdoctoral research fellow at the ICT Convergence Research Center (ICT-CRC), Kumoh National Institute of Technology, South Korea. His research interests include AI for aerial mobility, unmanned aerial networks, deep learning and computer vision, and information system security.
