Simeon O.A. (SMIEEE, MACM, MCPN, MNIS, OCA, Citp)

Dr. Simeon Okechukwu Ajakwe (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Assistant Professor at Kyungdong University (KDU Global), South Korea. He earned his Ph.D. in IT-Convergence Engineering with distinction from the Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Gumi, South Korea, in 2023. Prior to his doctoral studies, he received his Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology (2016) with distinction from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, following a Bachelor of Science (2009) and a Diploma (2004) in Computer Science from Imo State University, Owerri, and the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, respectively. Dr. Ajakwe is a Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) with extensive experience of bridging industrial and academic domains. He is an active member of the IEEE, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), and the Nigerian Internet Society (NIS). Throughout his career, he has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Best PhD Thesis Award, several Best Paper Awards, and various honors for research excellence. An active contributor to the scholarly community, he serves as an editor, guest editor, and reviewer for several high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. His current research interests focus on AI for aerial mobility, trustworthy AI, vehicular networks, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and information system security.
