To get to the Merlion, make your way to Tiong Bahru station (located at Tiong Bahru Plaza). Afterwards, take the East West Line (Green colour) in the Pasir Ris direction to Raffles Place which is 3 stops away. Afterwards, it is only about a 10 minute walk from the station.
To get back, just retrace your steps :) - MRT taken should be the same line (East-West Line), same number of stops in the opposite direction (towards Tuas Link) to get back to Tiong Bahru station.
