Jennifer John offers violin lessons to young violinists who is working on Suzuki Book 4 and higher. Lessons are offered throughout the school year and summer, and by audition only. Private students often attend the Fine Arts Center, and are often on a path to attend the Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, both are amazing and unique programs for dedicated students in Greenville. Many students perform in leadership positions in both the CYS, and GCYO youth orchestras.
Examples of private student success include winning "From the Top," a Nationally recognized NPR radio show featuring some of the nations top musicians, hosted by International piano soloist, Christopher O'Riley. Students have earned top spots in the National Youth Orchestras 1 and 2, and have won or placed in recognized competitions both locally and nationally. Private students have been accepted into major conservatories and universities throughout the US and Canada. Violinists who decide not to major in music, often receive significant scholarships to perform in a university orchestra, or chamber music program.
