What we can do now
Learn more about monarch butterflies specific to your area and their needs.
Plant milkweed that is native to your area. The only native milkweed to Southern California is Narrow-Leaf Milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis).
Do NOT plant tropical milkweeds (e.g. Asclepias Curassavica), which are not native to Southern California!
Plant flowers to attract monarch butterflies to your garden.
Do not use insecticides or pesticides in your garden
Spread the word to your friends and family about how they can help monarch butterflies!
Contribute to organizations that are actively working to help monarch butterflies
