My name is Olivia, and I am a Girl Scout right here in New Jersey. I love nature, acting and spending time with my friends. When I get older, my dream is to attend NYU and major in journalism and marketing. I started Girl Scouts when I was a Brownie and I instantly loved the idea meeting with these girls who I barely knew, because I could tell that we would soon grow into a family! Girl scouts has provided many life skills and opportunities to last for a lifetime. The amount of memories and friendship I have made from being a Girl Scout is amazing. Some highlights of my Girl Scout experience are camping, selling cookies, weekly meeting & becoming a Media G.I.R.L..
The objective of my Silver Award is to raise awareness on the effects of plastic pollution and promote the importance of plastic reduction. By doing this, my hope is to change the perspective on plastic products and help people pivot to more eco-friendly options. We don't know it yet but every little effort can help our world to be happier and healthier! Changing the world seems like a big task, but I believe that with every effort contributed, we can make a difference!
