With commissions like this, you might feel conflicted because of the nature of the "recreation" of something that existed prior. I completely understand that so if these aren't for you, don't sweat it! I'm taking this section to show my process so you can come to your own conclusion
❀ Screenshots are entirely redrawn from scratch. I do not draw over only the character, I recreate the backgrounds as well. ❀
❀ I try to avoid direct tracing wherever possible, relying on a sketch over the original image and working off that instead ❀
