The professional face paint we use is removed easily with a face wipe, or mild soap and water.
Lather the face with a mild soap like baby shampoo first and THEN rinse off with water. Avoid getting paint or soap in eyes/mouth.
For lingering stains on the skin, apply a face cream/lotion or skin-safe oil, let it sit for 15 minutes, then gently wipe off with a washcloth or repeat washing. Makeup remover is also effective.
Rubbing alcohol or your favorite safe-for-skin oil may assist with removal of gem adhesives.
Chunky glitter, while cosmetic and safe for the face, must be removed with a damp cloth/wipe by wiping AWAY from the eyes carefully. For this reason, chunky glitter is usually used on adults or children over 13 years old.
Face paint MAY STAIN any material it comes in contact with, so please exercise caution. Wearing face paint to bed is not recommended. Although we use care when applying the facepaint, it is your responsibility to ensure it does not come in contact with your clothing or other material.
For paint on clothing, do NOT wash article in the washing machine. Hand wash with very cold water and a pre-wash agent by applying the agent first, then rinsing with cold water and rolling the area around with your fingers. Harsh scrubbing may push the stain in further. Overnight soaking with a stain removal agent is recommended after the cleaning mentioned above. Please see the clothing manufacturer instructions.
*As part of our service agreement, we are not responsible for any stains or reactions to the paint or other products
As we already support select charities, we have several options available for your charitable event or fundraiser. You can let us know what you prefer.
- Pay Per Face: This is a great option for fundraising or for a public charity event. We do require full payment for our time from you (since collection of individual payments greatly inhibits our face painting speeds), but you can charge individuals for the extra face painting service, and supply them a bracelet or other indicator to us that allows them to be painted.
- Reduced fee: If you are a registered 501(c)(3) and we are available, we will reduce our rate by 10% for your event. Other fees may still apply (see fee sheet under Services)
Please contact us for further information and we will determine if you qualify, and we can let you know if we are available.
We currently serve Bentonville, AR and the surrounding areas within 15 miles. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like an exception. Further travel may incur a fee, to include $0.50/mile, tolls, and/or hotel coverage.
When you contact me, I will ask questions in order to help you determine how much time I recommend.
In general for casual private parties, I estimate that I can paint 10-12 full, custom faces per hour, depending on how complex the design is.
For high-volume events, quick art is available and I estimate 25-30 faces per hour, typically. The price is the same with the exception that a line manager is required to ensure speed If the menu is *very* limited, I have done up to 50+ faces an hour.
Thanks for asking! We never expect them for contracted work.
When we are painting freelance, or if you feel so inclined, we do accept them (please click here to tip/donate online)

-Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available from the manufacturers
-Most professional paint also has anti-microbial agents added.
- All our face paints are vegan and cruelty-free.
-If you are concerned, it is your responsibility to request a test swatch be applied to your arm prior to application and allowed to sit for 5 minutes to see if an allergic reaction occurs. Always inform your artist if you suspect or have any skin sensitivities.
Professional cosmetic products are ALWAYS recommended when applying to skin. Other products, such as acrylic paints, craft paints, or tempura paints are NOT meant to be used on the skin - nor are other craft markers or pencils. Many people are allergic to the non-FDA approved chemicals and colorants used in craft paints and will break out in a rash (or worse) when these paints are used. Watercolor/washable markers do not easily wash off skin - the term "washable" refers to their ability to wash off fabric easily, not skin. Professional-grade cosmetic face paints have been thoroughly tested to be safe, comfortable, vibrant, and long-lasting.
"Cosmetic glitter" is a relative term and may not always meet requirements for face painting safety from generic product suppliers. Certain face painting brands supply approved glitter. All our glitter has been vetted through face painting suppliers and is plastic (not metal like craft glitter or other "cosmetic"-labeled glitters, which could scratch the cornea of the eyes).
After gently removing the gems from your body, you may clean them by wiping the back with a damp cloth and let dry. Follow these steps to reattach to skin:
- Buy a latex-free skin adhesive, such as latex-free eyelash glue (found in the makeup section of your local store)
- Apply a thin but thorough amount to the back of the jewel cluster, turn it upside down, and let dry until almost transparent!
- For extra security, while jewel adhesive is drying, apply a small amount of adhesive to the part of your skin you wish to place the jewel and let dry for about 20 seconds
- When jewel adhesive is almost completely transparent, affix it to the area you wish using gentle pressure
(tip: avoidance of sensitive areas, such as the eyelids, is recommended)
