Can hearing players participate?
YES! Absolutely! The Silent Smash Showdown welcomes EVERYONE -- Deaf, Harding Hearing, hearing, ASL users, and non-ASL users. This fundraiser is about brining our community together to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth through National Deaf Junior Pickleball.
What division should I register for?
Please register for the division that best matches your current playing ability. Our divisons are designed to provide fun and competitive matches for players of all skill levels.
2.0: Beginner players are newer to the game.
3.0: Intermediate players with developing strategy and consistency.
3.5: Intermediate to advanced players with solid skills and experience.
4.0: Advanced players with strong consistency, strategy, and tournament experience.

What is the tournament format?
The Silent Smash Showdown will feature Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Tournament format (round robin, pool play, and single-elimination bracket) will be determined based on the number of teams registered in each divsion and announced before the tournament begins.
Are food and drinks available?
Yes, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the tournament. We enourage everyone to enjoy the atmoshpere, and support our fundraising effors. All money will go toward National Deaf Junior Pickleball as the snacks and drinks were donated to this event.
Parking Information
Yes! Free Parking is available at Pickleball Harbor.
Can I donate if I can't attend?
Absolutely! Even if you are unable to participate, your donation helps provide opprountiies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth to compete in National Deaf Junior. Every contribution, matter the size, makes a meaningful impact.
Are spectators welcome?
YES! Family, friends, and community emmbers are encouraged to attend and cheer on the players. Spectators are welcome throughout the tournament, and there will also be raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, and opportunities to support the fundraiser.
Will ASL interpreters be available?
YES! We will have ASL (American Sign Language) interpreters at the event. Please keep in mind, they will be volunteers and they are giving up their time to volunteer to provide accessibility when needed.
What type of pickleballs will be used?
Tournament play will use Franklin 40-X outdoor pickleballs.
What happens if there is bad weather?
This event will be held indoors at Pickleball Harbor, so play will continue rain or shine!
Are medals awarded to winners?
Yes! Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each division.
