The most honest measure of a teacher's impact is what colleagues say when the chapter closes. In January 2026, as I transitioned from Braeside Lavington to Braeburn Senior School, Gitanga Road, I received messages from nine members of staff, from the Head of Secondary to classroom teachers, that I did not expect and will not forget. These are their words, reproduced with their permission.

My Reflections
"I did not anticipate these messages. I had simply tried to do my job well, to be present, to contribute, and to keep learning. Reading them reminded me that teaching is not transactional; it is relational. The impact of a teacher is not measured in test scores alone, but in the professional relationships built, the culture contributed to, and the trust earned in daily, unremarkable acts of service. These voices do not make me complacent. They make me more determined."
