In this course we will discuss the basics of chromatic homotopy theory. Our first and major goal will be to prove Quillen's theorem, the result which birthed the area. On the way we learn various techniques for calculating in the stable homotopy category.
There will be a weekly lecture on Thursday from 16-18 in M009 and a weekly exercise class on Monday from 12-14 in M102. You can find the lecture notes for the course here.
Exercises will not be graded, but attendance will be required for the Studienleistung. Moreover, every student should present solutions to two exercises throughout the semester. Please find the exercises here.
