This Privacy Policy explains how SignSafe PDF (the "App", "we", "our", or "us") handles your information. We have built the App with your privacy as the core principle: all processing happens on your device, and your documents never leave your hands.
We do NOT collect any personal data or document content. The App is designed to be entirely self-contained. Your documents, signatures, and all related data are processed and stored exclusively on your local device.
The App does not collect, transmit, or store:
Your name, email address, or any contact details.
Your location or GPS data.
Your IP address or device identifiers.
Your PDF documents or their content.
Your signatures, text, date stamps, or checkboxes added to documents.
Metadata, OCR results, or document summaries.
Usage analytics or behavioral data.
Since we do not collect any information, we do not use your information for any purpose. All App functions—including signing, encryption, redaction, OCR, compression, and the AI Document Assistant—are performed locally on your device using on-device processing (such as Apple's Vision framework and Apple Intelligence). No data is sent to our servers or any third-party servers.
Local Storage Only: Your documents, signatures (stored in a vault encrypted with AES-256-GCM), and all processed files are stored solely on your device's local storage or optionally in your personal iCloud Drive (subject to your iCloud settings).
Your Control: You have full control over your documents. You can delete them at any time using your device's file management.
Security Features:
Encryption: The App supports AES-256 password encryption for PDFs, which you apply and manage yourself.
App Lock: You can enable an additional security layer using Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID to prevent unauthorized access to the App.
Data Deletion: Redaction performed within the App permanently removes sensitive content from the PDF file.
Cloud Sync: If you choose to enable iCloud Drive sync, your files are stored in your personal iCloud account and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Our App requires certain device permissions to perform its core functions. We only request these permissions to provide the specific features you are using:
Face ID/Touch ID/Optic ID: Used solely for the optional App Lock feature to authenticate your identity. This is handled by the device's secure hardware and is not processed by the App.
We do not request access to your camera, contacts, or other sensitive data. Permission to access your device's file system is handled by iOS's standard file picker, which you control.
Our App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not integrate any social media platforms or external SDKs that could collect your data. The app does not contain any third-party advertising.
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any data, this is not applicable.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SignSafe PDF mobile application (the "App") provided by our team. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
SignSafe PDF is a privacy-first, on-device PDF tool. Its features include signing documents, adding AES-256 encryption, redacting sensitive information, applying tamper-evident seals, performing OCR, merging/splitting/compressing files, and using an on-device AI Assistant for document Q&A and summarization.
You agree to use the App responsibly and for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful, illegal, or unauthorized purpose.
Use the App to falsify documents, forge signatures, or engage in any fraudulent activity.
Use the App to process documents that violate any applicable laws or infringe on the rights of others.
Tamper with, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's software or systems.
Document Ownership and Responsibility: You retain all rights and are solely responsible for the documents you process using the App. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to sign, modify, or process any document. You are also responsible for the security of your encryption passwords.
The App, including all content, features, and functionality (such as the UI, design, and software code), is owned by us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal or commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App.
The App may include features available through in-app purchases or subscriptions. All purchases are final and are subject to Apple's standard refund policy, which we do not control. By making a purchase, you agree to the pricing and terms specified within the App.
THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THE ACCURACY AND INTEGRITY OF ANY DOCUMENTS PROCESSED BY THE APP.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA (INCLUDING LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DOCUMENTS), ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP (IF ANY).
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the App, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for Apps, which is incorporated herein by reference: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA shall control.
