My name is Arlene Chang and I am a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University studying Information Systems, with an interest in ML and AI. I'm interested in both computer science and sign language, first becoming exposed to ASL in my freshman year of high school when I took ASL I. I fell in love with signing and became fascinated with Deaf culture and history, as it was something completely new and different for me. I took ASL II and ASL III throughout high school and continued my learning journey through community college sign language classes in my senior year. I am excited to continue sharing my passions for ASL to other students. I'm interested in seeing how computing and technology can continue making changes in the world and hope to become an engineer one day!Â
