How to Sign in to Watch BBC Iplayer?
BBC will soon require you to use your BBC account to use iPlayer on your TV.
Without signing in, you will be unable to play programmes or benefit from the personalised features that BBC iPlayer offers.
The BBC’s site explains the need to do so: “We need to understand more on what people are watching to ensure we are providing something for everyone
“Up until now we could only tell how many people used BBC iPlayer, but having more data like age, gender and location will ensure we’re better serving all our audience."
You will not have to sign in every time you visit the site bbc.com/account/tv as you should stay signed in for two years on each web browser or app.
Signing in is quick and easy, and means you can add programmes for later, get personalised recommendations and pick up watching programmes where you left off across your devices.
