Welcome to Signature Scanner, a mobile application developed by JanoGroup LLC to help users scan documents, save them locally, place signatures, and export or share signed PDF files. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what choices you have. By downloading or using Signature Scanner, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Personal Information
Signature Scanner does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not directly collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location through the app’s core functionality.
2. Local Data Storage
Signature Scanner stores your app data locally on your device. This may include:
- scanned or imported document images
- edited document pages
- saved signature images
- document names and metadata
- subscription or plan status stored on-device
- app preferences and onboarding status
This data is stored locally to support the app’s features and is not sent to our servers.
3. Camera and Photo Access
The app may request access to:
- your camera, to scan and capture document images
- your photo library or files, to import existing document images
This access is used only to provide the requested functionality inside the app. We do not use camera or photo access for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
4. Export and Sharing
If you choose to export or share a document or signed PDF, the file is shared only through the system tools and destinations you choose, such as the iOS or Android share sheet, printer options, or another app selected by you. Once you share a file with a third-party service or app, that service’s own privacy policy will apply.
5. App Preferences and Review Prompts
The app may store limited on-device settings, such as whether onboarding has been completed or whether an in-app review prompt has already been shown. This information stays on your device and is used only to improve your in-app experience.
Signature Scanner does not include third-party advertising. We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not collect, sell, or share device identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking purposes. We do not engage in cross-site or cross-app behavioral tracking.
Signature Scanner may rely on platform and system services to support app functionality, including:
- Apple App Store and Google Play distribution services
- Apple or Google in-app purchase infrastructure, if you choose to purchase premium access
- system-level sharing, printing, and file-handling tools
- platform-provided in-app review prompts
These providers may collect limited technical, transaction, diagnostics, or device information under their own privacy policies. We do not control how those third parties process information collected by their own platforms or services.
If you choose to purchase or restore premium access, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google through their respective app marketplace infrastructure. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Any billing information is handled according to the privacy practices of the relevant app store provider.
Because Signature Scanner primarily stores data locally on your device, the security of your data depends in part on the protections provided by your device and mobile operating system. We take reasonable steps to design the app with privacy in mind, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your documents, signatures, and app data remain on your device until you delete them, remove the app, or clear app data through your device settings. If you export or share files, copies may remain in the destinations you choose.
Signature Scanner is intended for general audiences and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through an app update or by updating the Effective Date above. Your continued use of Signature Scanner after any updates means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
