OVERVIEW

Signature Studio ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps users design, customize, and install email signatures. This policy explains what data the extension handles and, just as importantly, what it does not do.

DATA WE COLLECT

Signature Studio does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data with the developer or with any third party. There is no backend server. The extension has no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.

DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

When you use the extension, the following information is created by you and stored only on your own device, using the Chrome storage API (chrome.storage.local):

- The signatures you build (name, job title, company, contact details, links, colors, and layout choices you enter).

- Your Brand Kit, if you choose to set one up (logo URL or an uploaded image, brand colors, company information).

- App preferences (theme, language).

This data never leaves your browser. It is not accessible to the developer of this extension, and it is not synced to any external account or server.

IMAGES YOU CHOOSE TO ADD

If you enter an image URL (for example, a hosted logo) or upload an image file from your computer, that image is either referenced by its URL or converted to a local data file and stored the same way as the rest of your signature — locally, on your device. Uploading a file never sends it anywhere; it is processed entirely in your browser.

GMAIL INTEGRATION

The extension can insert your finished signature into Gmail's own Signature field (Settings > General) when you click "Install in Gmail." To do this, a small script runs only on mail.google.com pages and interacts solely with the Signature field in Gmail's settings. This script does not read your emails, contacts, drafts, or any other content in your Gmail account, and it only acts when you explicitly trigger it from within the extension.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The extension does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking service. Fonts and icons used for the optional "original design" preview are bundled inside the extension package itself and are not loaded from an external content delivery network.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Signature Studio is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from children, consistent with the fact that it does not collect data from any user.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
