This policy ensures consistency, professionalism, and clarity for both tutors and students in the delivery of American Sign Language (ASL) tutoring services.
Tutors will maintain professionalism, respect, and cultural sensitivity at all times.
Students are expected to respect the tutor and learning environment.
Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
Sessions must be scheduled at least [7 days] in advance.
Each session will last [30 minutes/ 1 hour] unless otherwise agreed upon.
Late arrivals by the student will not extend the session time.
Tutors will wait [10 minutes] for late students before marking as a no-show.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session.
If a student cancels at least 24 hours in advance, they may reschedule the session for another day at no additional cost.
If a student does not come to class due to a documented medical emergency they may reschedule the session once at no additional cost. Please notify the tutor as soon as possible and be prepared to provide brief confirmation (e.g., doctor’s note, clinic visit receipt, or similar).
Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice without a qualifying medical emergency will be charged in full and are not eligible for rescheduling.
No-show sessions are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Payment is due [before the session / upon booking / monthly].
Accepted payment methods: [ Venmo, Zelle].
Late payments may result in a pause of services.
Refunds will only be issued if tutor cancellation or medical emergency.
Packages or pre-paid sessions are non-refundable but transferable under certain conditions.
All communication will be conducted via [email, text, call].
Tutors will respond within [24 hours] during business hours.
All student information and session content will remain confidential.
Tutors will not record sessions without explicit consent.
Students are responsible for having a stable internet connection and proper equipment (camera, microphone, good lighting).
If a session is interrupted due to student’s technical issues, it will not be rescheduled for free.
