Presenter Information and Video

Sophie Krajmalnik

Hello, my name is Sophie Krajmalnik. I'm sixteen years old and a junior at Plano West Senior High School in Plano, TX. I have been competing in science fair/research competition since eighth grade. In addition to this research, I have developed a glove that collects and analyzes telemetry to pinpoint areas of error in a volleyball serve, and a method and device that uses visible light to determine post-mortem bone health. I have won approximately 30 awards/honors for my four years of research from the school to national level. I recently presented my reserch at Texas Junior Academy of Science and American Junior Academy of Science. In the future, I hope to further my education in forensic sciences and sociology at University of Pennsylvania.

In addition to scientific research, I also make jewelry, participate in technical theatre (particularly costume design and stage management), and enjoy reading, mentorship, public speaking, and editing.
