What do we fear of ? The Simple answer is that we fear of something that we are don't know or don't understand. Humans have a unfortunate gift inside ourselves which is Anticipation. We see other struggling to understand science and most likely they fail trying. This gets preoccupied inside us and we anticipate science to be hard and before even we try to understand its concepts, we convince ourselves its hard and start to memorize it.
But science is nothing but a tool to understand nature or the things around us. Its just like a dog, if get scared of it you will thing that it will bark or even bite and you will never go near it. If you understand it and it will start wagging its tail.
This Monsoon Season let recall what is Rain.
Rain is droplets of water falling down from the clouds. Wow that was simple.
But How did it go up there ?
When the Sun heat up the surface, Water drops are sucked up from surface of leaves, plants, lakes and rivers which becomes Water Vapour.
The Water Vapour is like the steam that comes out of the water kettle when we heat it. So all these hot water vapour is in the clouds and when they get cooled down, they become water droplets again.
Now that's how we get Rain !! YAY !!!
Let's Enjoy rain and reserve nature so we get more rain.
Thank you for Reading !!! Follow us in the Journey of discovering Science around Us !!!
The Colors in the sky are due to the principle called as the Scattering of light. Its very simple principle, can understood with the word scatter, like throwing things inside our room and same way it is throwing of light all around. The particles in the sky scattering more blue color so its appears blue.
We know that water vapour rises up to to sky and come down as rain. (To know how read the previous session what is rain). The vapour start to cool down goes up the sky and changes to atmospheric dust combining with dust in the air. When the vapour cools down it condenses into water droplets. These droplets join together to form clouds.
The particles in the cloud scatter all the colors in the light which makes the cloud look white in color. However, rain clouds are grey because of their thickness or height. The cloud get thicker that it joins more water droplets and becomes bigger ice, only less light can go in. So particles only at the outer surface will reflect the light and its reflect everything that there is no light and it appears dark.
