The Boyfriend Shirt : A Rose is a Rose $125

I wanted to play around with different batik fabrics to make the subtly different shades of rose petals. Each petal is a different shape and distinguished from the others with embroidered edges. This is a denim “boyfriend” shirt (buttons the opposite way, yet not enormous in the body) and is long – perfect for wearing over leggings or tying in a knot in front. Discreet no detail on the front with the “wow” factor in back.

Materials: This is a previously worn Levi’s men’s denim shirt Size M made of 100% cotton embellished with a variety of cotton batik fabrics and cotton embroidery threads.

Measurements:

·Across the shoulders 18”

·Chest width (armhole to armhole) 22”

·Waistband from side to side 20”

·Bottom of collar to bottom of waistband is 29.5”

·Sleeve length from shoulder to bottom of cuff 26”

Care: Due to the delicate nature of the embroidery, this shirt should be handwashed in cold water and hung to dry or dry cleaned.

Strut Your Stuff $75

It’s not only the guys who get to strut their stuff. They may need the plumage to do so, but we girls don’t. So go ahead. Don’t be shy. Show them who you are! Shh, don’t tell: There’s a secret message on the right cuff.

Materials: This is a previously worn Cherokee denim shirt Size L made of 100% cotton embellished with cotton fabric panels and a dash of bright embroidery on the collar, just for fun.

Cupid Hits His Mark $70

Mischievous Cupid! Hitting his mark. Looks like love has struck.

I had fun designing this one-of-a-kind woman's denim shirt. I was inspired by line drawings and thought that I would portray Cupid shooting his arrows of love with a discreet target reached – you!

Materials: This is a previously worn Talbots denim shirt Size M made of 55% cotton and 45% Lyocell. I stitched Cupid and his heart by hand with cotton embroidery thread.

Measurements:

Across the shoulders 16”

Chest width (armhole to armhole) 20.5”

Waistband from side to side 21.5”

Bottom of collar to bottom of shirt is 27” (great for wearing over leggings!

A bunch of pretty little posies just for you!

Materials: This is a Treasure & Bond denim shirt size S, 100% cotton with 100% cotton embroidery floss. The posies were interfaced on the inside to protect the stitching.

·Waist from side to side 21”

·Bottom of collar to bottom is 29”

·Sleeve length from shoulder to bottom of cuff seam 18” + ruffle= total sleeve length of 23”

Care: This shirt should be 1) hand washed in cold and hung to dry, or 2) washed on the delicate cycle inside out and hung to dry, or 3) washed in a delicates bag inside out and hung to dry.

Free Spirit $75

I was inspired by Picasso’s simple line drawings and the whimsical attitude of this horse in mid-leap. And I had the perfect shirt to put it on with Western detailing and front snaps. It came together just as I envisioned it would!

Materials: This is a previously worn Joe Fresh denim shirt Size S made of 100% cotton. The horse is hand-stitched with cotton embroidery thread.

Oh Wow! $60

What fun it would be to spend a day having everyone say, “Wow!” to you. Talk about lifting your spirits! Love the fun confetti batik I used for the letters and stars. It looks like a party! The stars and letters should fray slightly at the edges as it wears.

Materials: This is a new-with-tags Chadwicks denim shirt size M, 100% cotton, with side slits at the waist. The stars and letters were interfaced for durability and then machine stitched onto the shirt.

Pop art? Cartoons? Jessica Rabbit? You name it, I was having fun with the exaggerated sizes and colors. And couldn’t resist leaving the long lashes in 3D. I couldn’t stop smiling as I worked on this shirt. Hope it makes you smile, too!

Materials: This is a previously worn Gap Denim denim shirt Size M made of 100% cotton. I cut out the face from felt fabric and then machine stitched the parts onto the shirt.

SOLD --- Coy Koi Shirt $75

I love the look of this dark denim shirt with the roll-up button option. I thought the koi fabric would be a fun pop of color on this dark blue background, like they’re swimming in a deep pond.

Materials: This is a Jones New York Jeans denim shirt size L, 63% cotton and 37% Lyocel for that fluid feel.The koi patches were selected and cut and then machine stitched onto the shirt.

Materials: This is a previously worn Pretty Little Thing “US size 2” (more like a M) made of 100% cotton, with silver snaps down the front. The denim letters were hand cut and machine stitched onto the shirt.
