My name is Mary Beth Sieminski and school year 2018 - 2019 marks my 13th year as a Language Arts teacher at Buena Regional High School in Buena, NJ. During my tenure at BRHS, I have co-chaired a student recognition program, been a class advisor, volunteered for educational committees, and taught a wide variety of courses. I enjoy reading YA lit, swimming, and spending time with my family.

My teaching philosophy is based upon motivation and determination. I believe that every student has the motivation to learn in their own capacity, and as a teacher and future teacher-librarian, I am determined to help all of my students realize their potential.

I am committed to creating a culture of literacy in my school community by setting the example as an avid reader and inspiring my students and colleagues to become more proficient thinkers through reading to learn and inquiry-based instruction.

My future goals include transitioning from the classroom to the library where I hope to work for or help build a Future Ready School. As a member of ALA, YALSA, and NJASL, I also aspire to take an active role in my professional development and the growth of my fellow librarians and colleagues.
