I am a grade 12 student at Singapore American School, where I have been studying for the past five years. I was born in San Francisco, US and moved to Gurgaon, India when I was two. After doing my elementary school in India, I moved to Singapore for my middle and high school.
I have deep interest in science/technology and have taken advanced level courses in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Being curious, I learnt programming via online tutorials and creating projects when I was in 6th grade. I have pursued my interest in technology since then via academic courses, STEM clubs at school and real life internships in tech companies.
I captain SAS MATE Robotics Club, which makes underwater Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and participate in competitions. I am also an active member of SpaceLab club, which researches projects for space. I led the software for the club last year and this year I have assumed the role of a mentor. I am also an officer of Engineering Design Club which educates students on methodologies and frameworks used to create engineering applications.
I discovered love for teaching when I realized that the best way for me to learn was to teach and share ideas. I teache other students informally and via student clubs such as Computer Science Honors Society and Math Honors Society.
I am also passionate about exploring applications where technology can create real life community impact. I founded Letscode, where we partnered with Hamari Pahchan NGO in India to provide access to coding education to underprivileged in India. I also built NeerBot, unmanned real time water quality monitoring system, which was deployed at Bhandwari lake in partnership with Hara Jeevan NGO.
