10. Visualized Research Translation: Glad to share my research via JoVE Visualize, highlighting a new translational pathway toward proprioceptive dental implants through integrated video-literature visualization.Link: https://visualize.jove.com/40307481
9. Preprint & Concept Framework (30 October 2025): — A concept draft titled "Integrated Neurofunctional Validation Framework for Confirming Proprioceptive Functionality in Modified Dental Implants" has been posted in a public repository.
8. 🎥📹Watch video: Representative rat model following installation of an advanced dental implant prototype using the experimental surgical protocol described in Das S. et al., Scientific Reports (2025). The implant demonstrates healthy integration with surrounding soft tissue, characterized by preserved peri-implant radiolucency radiographically, clinical immobility upon palpation and percussion, and absence of painful manifestations. These findings support stable integration distinct from conventional osseointegration.

7. Clinically Oriented Q1 Publication & Global Attention (April 2025) : Excited to share that my research article titled “Surgical considerations towards inducing proprioceptive feedback in dental implants” S.Das et al., published in Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio) in April 2025, has attracted significant global attention.
🎇Key Highlights:

6. Patents Granted: Two Indian patents granted to IIT Bombay based on my PhD and postdoctoral research in bioengineered and proprioceptive implant technologies:
3. 🎥📹Watch video: Representative surgical placement of coated titanium implants. The video demonstrates successful placement of the implant into bone while maintaining the integrity of the nanofibrous coating. As reported in Das, S., Dholam, K., et al. (2019), preservation of the intact osteogenic nanofibrous coating may support its intended osteogenic effects and contribute to prompt osseointegration.

2. Featured Research Recognition: I am pleased to announce that my work titled "Nanofibrous coated metallic implants" has been featured in May 2020 edition of News letter, IIT Bombay !
1. First-of-its-kind Innovation in Implant Surface Engineering : A world-first successful fabrication of osteogenic nanofibrous coatings, designed to promote and enhance osseointegration on titanium implant surfaces using a modified electrospinning strategy, was achieved at IIT Bombay (Nature; Springer). This work was subsequently extended to establish the first-in-class neuro-supportive nanofibrous coatings on titanium dental implants, aimed at restoring proprioceptive functionality, at IIT Bombay and later at the Tufts University School of Engineering,(influencing the ~$12.57 B global implant market 2025), with validation reported through experimental protocols, preprints & peer-reviewed publication (Springer Protocol; bioRxiv; Nature).
