Andrea Antonio Cantone, University of Salerno, Italy
Andrea Antonio Cantone is a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Salerno. He received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2018 from the Parthenope University of Naples and his master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Software Technologies curriculum, in 2021 from the University of Salerno. He is a Member of ACM SIGCHI. He is also a member of the HCI-UsE Lab (Human-Computer Interaction and Usability Engineering Lab) of the Department of Computer Science, University of Salerno. His main research interests are in the areas of Human-Computer Interaction, Software Usability, Accessibility, Virtual and Augmented Reality.
Giuliana Vitiello, University of Salerno, Italy
Giuliana Vitiello is a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Salerno. She is Senior Member of the ACM- Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI) and Chair of the Italian Chapter of ACM SIGCHI. Member of IFIP Technical Committee 13 on Human-Computer Interaction. She is a member of the Association on Automated Mapping/Facilities Management/Geographic Information Systems, Italian Chapter. Her research interests fall mainly in the areas of Human-Computer Interaction and Usability Engineering. She is the director of the HCI-UsE (Human-Computer Interaction and Usability Engineering) laboratory at the Department of Computer Science, University of Salerno.
Pablo Cesar, Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) and TU Delft, The Netherlands
Pablo Cesar leads the Distributed and Interactive Systems (DIS) group at CWI and is Professor of Human-Centered Multimedia Systems in the Department of Intelligent Systems (INSY) at TU Delft. He received the prestigious 2020 Netherlands Prize for ICT Research. He is IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Senior member, the highest grade for which IEEE members can apply, and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Distinguished Member, cited for significant achievements across the computing field recognizing up to 10 percent of ACM worldwide membership. His research focuses on measuring and evaluating the way users interact and communicate with each other using a wide range of decentralized digital systems. Cesar has co-directed around 20 externally funded research projects (H2020, FP7, FP6, PPP, NWO).
Tanja Kojić, TU Berlin, Germany
Tanja Kojić is a User Experience (UX) senior researcher and designer focusing on new immersive media such as Extended (XR) and Virtual Reality (VR). She holds an M.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and has pursued additional studies in Graphic Product Design, with an emphasis on UX design. She began her career at SAP Innovation Center Network as a UX designer, and in 2017, she joined the Quality and Usability Lab at TU Berlin, Germany, as a research assistant, initiating her journey in UX research. She earned her Ph.D. in February 2023 with the thesis "User Experience for Serious Games in Virtual Reality," which was awarded summa cum laude, proving her dedication to advancing the impact of technology on user experiences. During her PhD, she was also selected to be part of the Software Campus, which she presented at Digital Summit 2018, and won the award for the best presentation at Science Slam 2019. Throughout her career, she has contributed to publications, conferences, and talks in the field of VR and UX design, including IEEE Quality of Multimedia Experience, IEEE Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces, and the International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction. She has also participated in the standardization activities of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) on the topics of “Influencing Factors on Quality of Experience for Virtual Reality Services” and “Subjective Test Methods for Interactive Virtual Reality Applications."
