Recommended SIBO Diets
These diets all restrict carbohydrates in some way, but experimentation is encouraged within the diet frameworks, as specific food tolerances may vary from person to person.
Diets listed from most to least restrictive:
SIBO Bi-Phasic Diet & SIBO Specific Food Guide
These are effectively the same diet, but Bi-Phasic is more regimented / structured. Arguably the most successful SIBO diets out there for symptom relief / management.
Cedars-Sinai Low Fermentation Diet
This diet is easier to follow but also maybe not as good at helping with SIBO as the diets above. That being said, feedback is that it still works better for SIBO than most other options out there such as low FODMAP, SCD, GAPS, etc.
Testing
Generally lactulose is preferred over glucose due to fewer false negatives. A hydrogen-sulfide test is on the way as well. Now if only we could get a non-invasive SIFO one to round it all out...
Not as useful for IBS-C patients. This is the only test I'm aware of that can identify food poisoning and subsequent MMC damage as the root cause of IBS/SIBO issues, which is really valuable information because it tells you that a prokinetic is called for as an essential part of treatment. Unverified versions of this test are also offered by different labs I believe.
Dr Allison Siebecker / SIBO Info Website
Dr. Allison Siebecker, ND, is the "Queen of SIBO." This is her site, full of incredibly useful information from diet, to antibiotic regimens, to prevention of relapse, to the latest research, etc. Truly a one-stop shop for SIBO information and things like this amazing Symptomatic Relief Handout.
Haven't purchased it myself, but her SIBO SOS Masterclass is sure to have some really valuable information. The four courses are also available for purchase individually. 1 2 3 4
She's not accepting new clients right now but has people covering for her on Skype Consultations.
Dr. Mark Pimentel / Cedars-Sinai GI Motility Program
Dr. Pimentel, MD, is the leading SIBO researcher today. This 2016 article is his most comprehensive SIBO overview that I know of, although he does make the rounds on conferences, podcasts, twitter, and the like.
Dr. Nirala Jacobi
Dr. Nirala Jacobi, ND is a prominent SIBO practitioner in Australia with many educational and podcast offerings targeted at practitioners. She is actively involved in the SIBO community and is best known for developing the SIBO Bi-Phasic Diet.
Dr. Michael Ruscio
Dr. Ruscio, DC, is a gut health guru with some books and some valuable online SIBO content. He comes from a chiropractic background but lives and breathes this stuff. I will say that his opinion on things like probiotics can conflict with others like Dr. Siebecker and Dr. Pimentel, and I'm always somewhat cautious of people hawking their own supplements. Nevertheless, he churns out more SIBO content than most others, and I really like the interviews with prominent researchers.
Created by someone like me, SIBO Survivor is a pretty thorough reference guide. I don't particularly love when websites offering health advice have a shopping cart in the navigation menu, but you've got to take the good with the bad.
Intro SIBO content with many important researchers. A lot of this is pay to play, but the blog and podcasts are free.

Mark's Marine Pharmacy (Online Canadian Pharmacy)
I use this for my prucalopride prescription, and it is very easy from the US. Just have your doctor write a prescription for you, place the order online, and phone-scan / upload the prescription in the checkout process.
A good resource to have when domestic health insurance doesn't cover the drugs you need. There are plenty of other online Canadian pharmacy options out there; this is just the first one I stumbled upon.
