I am assistant professor at the faculty of Geoinformation (ITC), University of Twente, the Netherlands. My expertise is sensor fusion for autonomous platforms. In other words, I study on more efficient integration of available sensors for localization, perception, and planning of the autonomous platforms.

In my recent work, I have suggested to model sensors in addition to their integration and I have proposed an approach to use predictive recurrent neural networks for sensor error model. I have tested my approach on GNSS/IMU integration and I have shown that it improves accuracy of sensor fusion using traditional approaches. My proposed approach is independent from sensor characteristics and it can be applied in other multimodlity domains.
