MultiReader built the MultiReader extra app as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by MultiReader at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
Using the Service does not by itself enable optional analytics and diagnostics. Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance Monitoring are enabled only if you select “Yes” in the app. Information required for features you intentionally use, such as advertising, purchases, GPT assistance, or online text-to-speech, may still be processed as described below. Information processed through the Service is used for providing, maintaining, analyzing, and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible through MultiReader, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
MultiReader does not require you to create a MultiReader account. Depending on the features you choose to use, third-party services may process app and device information, purchase information, advertising information, diagnostic information, or text required to provide an online feature.
The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify or distinguish your device or app installation.

Optional Analytics and Diagnostics
Optional analytics and diagnostics are disabled by default and are enabled only after you select “Yes” in the app. If enabled, Firebase may receive information about app screens and interactions, feature attempts and outcomes, app startup and performance measurements, crashes and application-not-responding errors, app version, device model, operating system version, approximate country derived from an IP address, and a randomly generated app installation identifier.
MultiReader’s custom analytics events are designed not to include document names, document paths, document contents, text entered or read in the app, search queries, AI prompts or responses, precise location, advertising identifiers, email addresses, or other direct identifiers.
You can disable optional analytics and diagnostics later in the app’s settings. This stops future optional collection, resets locally stored Analytics data, and removes unsent crash reports. Information already uploaded is handled according to the retention schedules described below.
Log Data
If you enable optional analytics and diagnostics, information may be collected when an error occurs or when the app experiences performance problems. This Log Data may include the device model, operating system version, app version and configuration, time of the event, crash stack traces, performance measurements, and related diagnostic statistics.
Cookies
This Service does not explicitly use browser cookies. However, third-party SDKs may use local identifiers, tokens, or similar technologies to provide their services, prevent fraud, measure app usage, or display advertising. Their use of these technologies is governed by their respective privacy policies.
If you configure optional OpenAI text-to-speech functionality using an API key, the text selected for speech and the required request settings are sent to OpenAI to generate the audio.
Data Retention
Google Analytics user-level and event-level retention is configured to two months, after which affected data is removed through Google’s monthly deletion process. This retention setting does not apply to standard aggregated Analytics reports.
Firebase Crashlytics retains crash stack traces, processed crash data, and associated installation identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Firebase Performance Monitoring retains IP-associated events for 30 days and installation-associated or de-identified performance data for 60 days before beginning removal.
MultiReader does not provide an account-based tool for requesting deletion of individual telemetry records because telemetry is not linked to a MultiReader account. Data already uploaded is removed according to the applicable provider retention schedule. Other service providers apply their own retention policies. This does not limit any rights that may apply under applicable law.
GPT assistant
When GPT assistant functionality is enabled and you request a summary or translation, the relevant document text and instructions needed to complete that request are sent to Google Vertex AI through Firebase AI Logic. This content is used to generate the requested result and is not included in MultiReader’s custom analytics events.
Firebase AI Logic does not itself store prompts and responses, but Google Vertex AI may temporarily process, cache, or retain information for service operation, security, and abuse monitoring under Google Cloud’s applicable terms. Google states that customer data is not used to train or fine-tune its AI models without permission.
