Unfortunately, we didn't take a picture last year. If we had, what you would see to your left are around 80 people that showed up to an event unrelated to math discussing research for an hour, coincidentally by SIAM IIT Leadership, then, most not math students, proceeded to stay at the SIAM IIT welcome week event because of its insight, excitement, and opportunities offered exclusively at the event.
We are sad to cancel this event. Almost all of our executives are busy doing research in different cities and our selected rep has a family issue to attend to. We will postpone it, but it'll still happen!
This is an event gathering faculty and students part of the College of Computing, home to physicists, biologists, chemists, food scientists, psychologists, and humanologists.

The Summer Research Expo invites all students, graduate and undergraduate, to present their research completed during their REUs, internships, fellowships, and other similar experiences that many Illinois Tech students participate in. This even is cohosted by the university and the Student Committee on Research Affairs. Perhaps in your future years, you will be presenting award-winning research, just like the student seen here, an AMAT '23 alum who is now pursuing a PhD at Brown University.
This might be the best opportunity to discover all the student organizations on campus, where each one bring memorabilia and representatives to market the organization. If you can't make it to our Tuesday event, this is the next best thing to go to. If you didn't get a questions answered or had a request on Tuesday that couldn't be fulfilled then, all resolutions will likely be present at the Friday tabling event!
