Welcome to the New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania Section of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM-NNP)!
SIAM-NNP aims to bring together the different communities in our region that are active in industrial and applied mathematics. Its goals are to enhance communication among its members, to promote collaboration for both basic research and applications of mathematics to industry and science, and to support the SIAM mission in the great states of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
The Section was approved by the SIAM Board in July, 2002, following a successful petition drive and application process. Thanks to everyone who helped out or signed the petition!

October 2023: The meeting
August 2023: Submissions close
June 2023: Submissions open for the first Section Meeting
November 2022: Board agrees to hold the first Section Meeting October 21-22, 2023 at NJIT in Newark, NJ. Details TBD.
July 2022: Rules of Procedure approved by SIAM Board. We exist!
May 2022: Proposal for creation of Section approved by SIAM Board. We almost exist.
Fall 2021: Petition drive launched, letter of intent to create section submitted to SIAM Board.
