2020 SIAM Student Mini-Symposium in Applied Mathematics

The SIAM student chapter at the University of Michigan is hosting a student mini-symposium in applied mathematics on May 29, 2020. This event will allow students from different disciplines in the area to see what is being done in the field and promote interest in applied mathematics in general. This event is open to all graduate students in the University of Michigan.

Keynote speaker

We are excited to announce that the keynote speaker for the 2020 SIAM Student Mini-Symposium in Applied Mathematics at the University of Michigan will be Prof. Silas Alben from the Department of Mathematics.

Call for presentations

All graduate students in the University of Michigan are invited to submit abstracts on any research topic related to applied mathematics.

Presentation format: All talks are 20 minutes in length, followed by 5 minutes for questions and set-up for the next speaker.

Submission deadline: April 30, 2020

Registration Open!

Registration to attend the 2020 SIAM Student Mini-Symposium in Applied Mathematics is now open. All are welcome to attend the conference, regardless of registration status.
